SAAF Women’s Championship 2024 – India defeated Pakistan by 5–2 goals

Kathmandu, Kartik 1 – Saaf Women Championship 2024 has started from today at Dashrath Rangashala, Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. India has achieved an excellent victory in the opening game of the competition held today. In the Group ‘A’ game, India defeated Pakistan by 5–2 goals.
India took the lead in the game with Grace’s goal in the fourth minute. Manisha doubled the lead in the 16th minute and Baladevi scored the third goal for India in the 35th minute. Pakistan’s Mariya Khanle scored in her own post in the 42nd minute. India led by 4–0 goals in the first half.
Pakistan tried to make a comeback in the game by scoring two goals in the beginning of the second half. For Pakistan, Suha Hirani succeeded in scoring a goal in the 46th minute and Kela Shiddiqui in the 47th minute. But after this India continued to dominate Pakistan. Jyoti scored the fifth goal for India in the 77th minute, which took India towards victory. Organizers Nepal, who are in Group ‘B’ of the competition, will play their first match tomorrow. Nepal will face Bhutan tomorrow at 5.30 pm.
