Kathmandu, Kartik 1 – Madhes Pradesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has inspected the under construction building of Maithili Development Fund.
In the course of inspection, Chief Minister Singh reached Balwatol located at Janakpurdham Sub Municipal Corporation-8, the under-construction building site. Along with him, Fund Chairman Jeevnath Choudhary, Madhes Pradesh Assembly member Ramsaroj Yadav, Nepali Congress Dhanusha Deputy Chairman Ganesh Jha, Pramod Choudhary etc. were present.
The building under construction in five kattha area at an investment of Rs 7 crore by the state government has a cultural museum, library, Mithila Folk Painting Training Centre, art exhibition room, audio-visual editing room, seminar hall etc.
The Fund has been organizing Janakpur Literature Festival and International Drama Festival every two years. The fund has been organizing monthly story and poetry seminar for the last three years.
The fund, which has published more than 10 books related to Maithili language and literature, has also instituted a prize of Rs 51,000 each.
