Ajay Rai elected in International Trade Union

Kathmandu, Asoj 29 – Nepal’s Ajay Kumar Rai has been re-elected as a member of the World Working Committee in the electoral meeting of the 46th World Congress of the International Transport Workers Federation.
Rye has been elected for the next five years i.e. till 2029 at the meeting of the International Transport Workers Federation in London starting from October 13. The said 128 year old organization, which is active in the trade union sector on behalf of transport at the global level, has re-elected Rai as the General Secretary of Nepal Trade Union Congress.
For the first time, the Federation had elected Rai from Nepal as a World Working Committee member in the World Congress held in Singapore in 2018.
Its headquarters is in London. This federation has a network in 149 countries. This federation, which has approximately two crore members, includes workers from nine sectors: civil aviation, shipping, railways, roads, ports, tourism and urban transport.
Elected Rai has been active in the labor movement of Nepal for almost 32 years. Rai, who has been raising his voice on the issues of Nepal’s workers at the international level, is also the chief advisor of Nepal Traffic Mazdoor Sangh.
