Increase in prices of petrol and diesel

Kathmandu, Asoj 29 – The government has increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene. Nepal Oil Corporation issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the price of petrol has been increased by one rupee per liter and the price of diesel and kerosene by four rupees per liter from 1 am on Wednesday. The corporation has fixed the new price as per the price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
The new price decided by the corporation will be applicable at different places across the country. The corporation has divided various places of the country into three categories for the price of petroleum products.

The first category includes Charali, Viratnagar, Veerganj, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalwari, Nepalganj and Dhangarhi areas. Now the price of petrol in this area will be Rs 156 and 50 paise per liter. Diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 148 and 50 paise per liter.
Similarly, Surkhet and Daang areas are in the second category. Now the price of petrol in this area will be Rs 158 per liter. The price of diesel and kerosene will be Rs 150 per liter. The third category includes Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal areas. Now the price of petrol in this area will be Rs 159 per liter. Diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 151 per litre.
